Courtesy of Back In Skinny Jeans comes this stunning film of how we can be conned by a picture.
I can’t even begin to think of the uses this has in the classroom… media studies, art & design, english, Social Ed, the list goes on and on… feel free to add any lesson ideas as comments!
The original is on Dove soap’s Campaign For Real Beauty site. I hadn’t been aware of the site before, but can see many school uses for it.
PS: In the unlikely(ha-ha!) event that you cannot access YouTube.com in school, I recommend using iTube. This handy (free) programme will allow you to download YouTube movies and add them to iTunes!

‘Stunning’ is the word – perhaps not because of what it portrays (who could be surprised today?) but more because of the way that it shows it. Excellent!

Thanks John… how’s Australia? I’m very jealous, especially after reading about Parramatta’s plans for eLearning. Will they be informing GLOW, or are we informing them? Certainly one for thinking about fostering links with for when GLOW goes online.
Cheers!
