Thanks to Will for pointing me at this clip of Stephen Heppel. As Will says, it’d be “Hard to pack more thinkable ideas into that short a time”…
It does require us to think about how we approach the ‘lost generation’ because we absolutely have to…

Thanks for sharing this with us Neil. It is very worrying and I can only hope that Glow will help us here in Scotland.
However, there are signs that Glow is not being thought of as a tool for pupils. Glow Groups are constantly talked about as places for teachers to collaborate, not where pupils will work together. It is as though Glow Groups will just be an extension of the Staffroom from where pupils are excluded. Glow will only really work well if pupils are given pretty well free rein.

I totally agree. I’m keen to get going with Glow, but share your reservations. What has been the experience of Glow in Dundee?
One thing I am a bit worried about is the scarcity of blogging about Glow now it’s ‘live’. Apart from a few weel kent faces, there has been a lot less discussion and/or chat about Glow in the field… I hope this isn’t a worrying sign!
