Whit a laugh! Having struggled to try and see all I wanted to, fitted in a PKC GLOW mentor’s meeting, spoken briefly to Ewan, Andrew, Ian, John, John, Mrs Blethers, David (of the immaculate taste) and lots more, I finally had the chance to sit down with a glass of excellent wine (thanks Stormhoek… go and buy some today, especially the Shiraz!) and listen to some real-life uses of technology in the classroom… well, I did once I’d given AB a hand bringing the necessary bits and pieces up from his car!

Plenty of others have commented on the actual sessions, so I’ll just say that I learned more in an hour and a half that I could apply to my classroom teaching than I have in my last two visits to SETT. I also had the very real pleasure of getting to sit next to Chris who entertained me royally despite my being full of the cold and her singing later on in the week.

What I realised very quickly was that TeachMeet needs to be bigger! Bigger venue, more time, more socialising… though I also realise that this happened when the crowd decanted to the Goat. Perhaps we need to give more thought to ‘sociable networking’ in future. I know that, from my point-of-view I’m already looking forward to TeachMeet07 as much as SETT07… and next time, I promise to find something to talk about!

Thanks Ewan!

Perhaps a joint session on the place of the music of Rush in the curriculum. 🙂

Sorry your arms hurt Neil! Next time I’ll move the car closer to the venue 😉

As you were pouring it – can you remember what (lovely) red I was drinking? All I can remember is the taste – oh, and the glow!

No worries! It was the rather good Stormhoek Shiraz.
If you’re buying any and need a hand finishing it, give me a shout… ;0)

Good to hear about your experiences at SETT. I agree completely – let’s make it bigger next time. The buzz was the best thing that happened at SETT
