Just so you don’t think I’ve gone completely mad, I thought I’d better explain why I’ve got photos of cooking in the flickr box at the side of this page.
I was really impressed with the way Alan Levine showed us how to use flickr as part of his K12 Online Conference session: I Didn’t Know You Could Do That With Free Web Tools. I’d never seen the notes feature used so well and so comprehensively as he did in this example.
Anyway, suitably inspired, I decided to have a go at producing something along similar lines. I was sitting next to some of the Home Economics teachers at last Friday’s in-service training session on Assessment-is-for-Learning, so I thought, how would/could a HE teacher use flickr… OK, it’s a bit obvious, but I found it a fun exercise and I think it gets across the idea that we can use flickr in different ways.
Anyway, feel free to add comments to the piccies, and if you’ve got kids you might even want to let them try the recipe themselves!
